I have to admit, I've never heard Jack Thompson's arguments before, but he is hyped up all over the place for being a "real-life troll" and just being a moron.

Why?

As far as I can tell, most of his arguments are sound. Not all, most; No, violent video games do not cause significant violent urges in children (there's always that one case in a galaxy far, far away), and I'm not really one to battle with political parties and all that jazz. But in my opinion, children shouldn't be playing violent video games. I don't see why so many people disagree. No, we shouldn't ban them from purchase, as it's a free country (or at least, it was meant to be), but what caring parent would let their children play those games anyway? And I'm more inclined to side with Jack Thompson (who is very misguided in some of his arguments) than whoever made the video; those background images were less than mature.

As for the video rant, I'm not sure if I'll do that or just link to the video and give my general opinions. As always, great find. I'll post this on GameFAQs as well.

The glitch may have just been my own fault, now that I think of it- the page I added Saturday was lost in the inner workings of the site, so I couldn't link to it. The reason I assume it's a glitch is because I've never had a problem with this before.
